Service p\u00e9diatrique S\u00e9do-Goho<\/strong><\/p>

Que tout enfant puisse \u00eatre soign\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement\u00a0!<\/em><\/p>

Le service p\u00e9diatrique du CHD ZOU et COLLINE situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Abomey, \u00e0 150 km <\/strong>de Cotonou est le centre de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence des enfants <\/strong>de la naissance jusqu’\u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de 15 ans pour le d\u00e9partement du ZOU o\u00f9 la malnutrition et la grande pauvret\u00e9 sont encore tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandues. Le Docteur Nouwakpo Natacha, p\u00e9diatre chef de service, est notre partenaire.<\/p>

Chaque ann\u00e9es, plus de 6 000 consultations sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es et plus de 4 000 hospitalisations dont pr\u00e8s de 100% en situation d’urgence. <\/strong>Les pathologies les plus fr\u00e9quentes sont le paludisme an\u00e9mique, les infections et souffrances du nouveau-n\u00e9, les infections digestives, les m\u00e9ningites purulentes. Le service est compos\u00e9 de 130 lits d\u2019hospitalisation r\u00e9partis entre les services de malnutritions s\u00e9v\u00e8res, n\u00e9onatalogie ou p\u00e9diatrie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. La t\u00e2che est lourde. Le deuxi\u00e8me p\u00e9diatre, pay\u00e9 par l\u2019Etat, a \u00e9t\u00e9 mut\u00e9.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Beaucoup de parents indigents ne peuvent absolument pas payer les frais <\/strong>m\u00e9dicaux n\u00e9cessaires indispensables pour sauver leur enfant.<\/strong> C’est ainsi que l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, 1400 enfants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pris en charge par la Caisse de Solidarit\u00e9 financ\u00e9e par Terre de Vie, apr\u00e8s enqu\u00eate du service social : enfant orphelin d’un parent ou ayant un parent malade mental, ou faisant partie d’une grande fratrie, ou souffrant, d\u00e9j\u00e0 grand, d’une malnutrition s\u00e9v\u00e8re, ou devant recevoir des soins tr\u00e8s co\u00fbteux\u2026 Les frais (m\u00e9dicaments, transfusions) sont alors pris en charge totalement ou partiellement selon les possibilit\u00e9s de la famille. Cette caisse de solidarit\u00e9 permet \u00e0 tout enfant d\u2019\u00eatre soign\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 son arriv\u00e9e. L\u2019Etat participe aussi \u00e0 cette caisse de solidarit\u00e9. Les fonds propres g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par le centre avec le prix des consultations et la vente des m\u00e9dicaments permettent \u00e9galement d\u2019alimenter cette caisse.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9quipe p\u00e9diatrique sous la direction du docteur Nouwakpo<\/strong> effectue un travail sans rel\u00e2che, dont la comp\u00e9tence est reconnue dans tout le B\u00e9nin. L’urgence est continue devant la gravit\u00e9 de l’\u00e9tat des enfants \u00e0 leur arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9quipe veut travailler sur du long terme <\/strong>par la formation du personnel mais aussi des familles pour qu’elles viennent au plus vite \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital. Cependant, les moyens manquent\u2026<\/p>\n
